Abstract: This book is about a French-Canadian boy, Antonio, who is always called Beechnut, and the adventures he has with the other children of Franconia, such as Phonny and Malleville. Beechnut has many wonderful stories to tell during the course of the book. They have many misadventures, including Beechnut becoming injured and Malleville becoming ill.
